KW 02 Known Work x Petra Small Cabinet Pull

This collection show cases Known Works unique approach to hardware design. The offering consists of appliance pulls and cabinet knobs, exclusively designed for Petra.

The intent was to design something that was reminiscent of the female form, in particular the breast as a symbol of femininity and strength. Looking through the lens of fashion and jewelry at how these mediums approach adorning that area of the body. We were inspired by Gerd Rothmann and the way he is concerned with the human form.

Each piece is individually spun, turned and hand made. Because of this crafted quality no two pieces will be exactly alike, expect some variation in finish from piece to piece as each finish is a living thing that will patina with use.

The collection is in either a custom bronze or aluminum finishes.
